It took me a while to realize that I was getting this message even when I wasn't trying to open the ppt, but just clicking on it to select it. Every time I tried opening, saving, etc, a PowerPoint file, I got the error message, 'There's not enough memory or system resources to start PowerPoint.' I had, in Windows Explorer, the Preview Pane enabled. I ran through most of the same Repair attempts. I'm running Office 365 Pro Plus on Windows 8.1 fwiw, it's a 32-bit Office on a 64-bit OS, though I'm not convinced that's relevant. This is on multiple users machines, running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit So has anyone seen this before? Have any ideas? When I say we have everything we found on Google, I mean 'everything', registry fixes, updates, patches, uninstall/re-install, everything. The applications work fine, but when trying to preview a file in Windows Explorer they varying error messages depending on the type of file being previewed. They are all running Office 2013 Home & Business 2013 32bit. We have an issue for users at one of our customers.
